Senior Manager Supply Chain

Purpose of this role would be to lead, manage and optimize the Supply Chain team to ensure customer satisfaction, volume and profitability goals are achieved through:
The procurement of raw materials required for the production and processing of finished goods, including raw material receiving, stock management and issuing to production to ensure raw materials are in place to meet planed production requirements
The planning of production to ensure efficient production, adherence to plan and ultimately shortening lead times so that customer service levels are maintained
The distribution of manufactured products to the market both locally and across the borders of South Africa by ensuring delivery on time to customers with a strong view on maximizing fleet utilization and cost reduction
The effective management of warehouses and distribution centres through world class inventory management processes such as receiving, systems management, inventory counts, bin optimisation etc
Manage the various vehicles in company - forklifts and other vehicles to improve utilisation, reduce costs and manage risk
The sourcing of vendors and service providers to:ÂEnsure a high quality of service and goods is provided
Reduce spend on all procured items through more competitive pricing
Facilitate transformation targets

The management of vendor contracts by ensuring contracts are administered correctly and levels are maintained.

The role is responsible for the following Supply Chain Processes:Â Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Procurement, Planning, DC's and Warehouse, Fleet Management.
Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric
Proficient in MS Office applications
Valid drivers license essential
CSCP or CSCM certification is preferable or Bachelors / Honors Degree in Supply Chain Management and 10+ years relevant Supply Chain experience in a similar role within a relevant industry.
