The employer is a leading customer solutions technology provider of Services and capital solutions relating to credit-orientated alternative assets
This role requires a seasoned Senior Learning & Development Manager to provide strategic L&D thought leadership in the formulation and implementation of Learning and Development strategy aligned to the HR strategic agenda; and must create and sustain a competent workforce that delivers on the strategy and business imperatives.

Minimum experience requirements:
• 5-8 years’ experience as a L&D Manager or leading a L&D function
• A proven track record of training and or facilitation experience

Minimum Requirements:
• B degree in Human Resources Management with specialization in L&D
• ETDP Qualification/Related Training qualification
• Post Graduate degree in Human Resources Management with specialization in in
L&D will be an advantage
• Project Management qualification will be an advantage
• Business or Process Analysis qualification will be an advantage
• 5-8 years’ experience as a L&D Manager or leading a L&D function
• A proven track record of training and or facilitation experience

Technical competencies required
• Knowledge and understanding of all relevant labour legislation; Human
Resources practices, Policies and Procedures.
• Working knowledge of and exposure to best practice in Learning and
Development.
• Understanding of skills development in relation to B-BBEE & transformation.
• Proven ability to analyse and design learning solutions to a variety of
people driven business challenges through research and innovation.
• Proven ability to produce insightful, strategic HR reports through the use
of L&D data analytics and other analysis tools or measures.
• Proven ability to manage a team of L&D practitioners and specialists in
multiple locations.

Key responsibilities will include:
• To design and develop a L&D strategy that builds and sustains organisational
capability now and for the future
• Enforce best practices in L&D activities to ensure maintenance of top
training programmes that enable high performance culture
• Develop relevant business cases to fill a specific training need, and secure
the relevant funding
• Maintain knowledge in the department, keeping it up to date with the latest
training practices, trends and technology
• Partner with the business to ensure that L&D is aligned to the broader
strategy
• Analyse the strategy to uncover the organisation’s skills needs
• Devise tactics/plans to address skills requirements for the Group through
research into industry best practice and innovations in L&D practices and
processes.
• Create and sustain an effective learning culture
• Lead and direct the tactical plans and activities of the L&D function
• Drive and accelerate skills development initiatives to support the
transformation agenda
• Lead a team of L&D practitioners effectively to implement the L&D strategy
• Direct and manage the prioritization of training requirements and the
planning thereof to ensure training delivery is effective and impactful and
delivered in line with business priorities.
• Determine the ROI and transference of learning through the use of analysis
methods; ROI tools and feedback mechanisms.
• Direct the implementation of Learnerships, Skills Programmes and Y.E.S
programmes to ensure the successful completion of Learnership groups within
the required time frames in order to achieve transformation targets and
maximize tax rebates.
• Manage the BBBEE verification process and be ultimately accountable for the
skills development strategic pillar.
• Ensure learning technology systems and tools are available to perform
learning technology administration and support.
• Ensure budgets, plans and forecasts are managed and tracked periodically and
use these inputs to proactively identify business opportunities.
