SENIOR MANAGER: HUMAN RESOURCES (HR)/MAKHANDA (GRAHAMSTOWN) – This is a 5-year contract position to commence on 1st June 2025 or earlier.
The main responsibility of the Senior Manager: Human Resources is to render an effective and efficient Human Resource advisory and support function, on both a strategic and operational level, to the Director, Management and staff.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 16H00 on 17th March 2025Minimum requirements;A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (postgraduate qualification preferred).At least 8 years of HR experience, with 5+ years in a senior HR management role.
HRM work experience gained within a public sector environment may be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and governance frameworks, particularly in the Public Entity/Public Sector environment.Proven ability to lead HR transformation and change management.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the workplace.Having good working knowledge and experience of POPIA and PAIA will be a strong advantage.Key responsibilities;Strategic Human Resource Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting in line with the SALB Compact, Strategic Plan and Project Business Plans.Recruitment, Selection and onboarding.
