My client is an award-winning UK life insurance company, committed to supporting institutional investors and asset managers implement their investment strategies and meet their investment objectives. Due to continued growth within the business, a new role has been created within the team and we are looking for an experienced Investment Analyst to join them in a senior position.

The Investment team has oversight over the company’s unit-linked investment funds and services, covering a broad range of asset classes and strategies. The Senior Investment Analyst will provide key support to the Investment team, split across the following areas:

Manager assessment - driving the investment due diligence process:

- Reviewing existing and new investment strategies
- Determine the adequate level of investment risk and restrictions monitoring for each investment
- Lead and build strategic fund manager relationships
- Liaise with internal teams in establishing processes and setting up investment product links

Governance - undertake ongoing investment oversight through quantitative & qualitative analysis, escalate concerns where necessary and produce governance reports for the investment committee across:

- Standard Platform Funds
- Non-Standard funds
- Life Wrapped Funds/IMA sub-advisor Funds
- In-house Funds

Communications - support external investment communications and reporting to clients:

- Economic/Fund Manager commentary
- Strategic thought pieces
- Support to resolve investment team technical queries
- Support business development

This is a friendly and collaborative team and we’re looking for a strong team player with:

- 2+ years’ experience in multi-asset manager research/investment management
- An understanding of institutional investment landscape and pooled investment structures
- A strong academic background - undergraduate degree is essential
- CFA Charter holder (or demonstrated progression towards)
- Knowledge of Bloomberg/Morningstar and quantitative skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills

Salary for the role is negotiable between £50,000 to £60,000; the package includes bonus and employee benefits.
