A well established company is currently recruiting for a Senior Cylinder and Hydraulics Mechanic in the Kempton Park area.The Senior Cylinder and Hydraulics Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic systems and components in heavy earthmoving equipment.
This role requires a deep understanding of hydraulic systems, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently.Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in hydraulics or mechanical engineering is preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in hydraulic system maintenance and repair, preferably in the heavy earthmoving equipment industry.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.Ability to lift heavy components and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.Comfortable working in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions.Responsibilities:Inspect and Diagnose: Identify faults in hydraulic systems and equipment, including cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.Component Replacement: Replace or repair faulty hydraulic components, including seals, hoses, and fittings.Testing and Calibration: Conduct performance tests and calibrate hydraulic systems to ensure proper functioning.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret hydraulic system design plans, blueprints, and schematics.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols while performing all tasks.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.Work Area Management: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area.Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair and maintenance procedures.Applicants who meet the criteria are invited to submit their CV to ******.
