IntroductionThe JSE is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Shared Services (Billing, Finance, and Web) department to facilitate the development and implementation of JSE's systems based on a clear understanding of business requirements in alignment to JSE IT strategic priorities.
Results Delivery Contribute to crafting of IT departmental business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of IT strategyApply cost effectiveness principles in planning and delivery to contribute to achievement of divisional financial targetsProvide relevant input into the formalisation of the divisional budgetManage allocated budget by tracking costs and recommending solutions that meet critical business needsProvide guidance to the business on best system solution selection to ensure fit to the JSE's requirements and meet the future strategic objectivesStakeholder Relationship Management Champion Business Analyst services with stakeholdersObserve and be involved in the day-to-day operations to understand the business domain and needsProvide insight regarding BA methodologies and best practices to internal clientsMaintain and build relationships with Business Owners to ensure BA team involvementDetermine business requirements and actively manage key projects to meet expectationsConduct Business Owner feedback sessions at project milestonesBuild relationships with other IT teams and key counterpartsEngage regularly with stakeholders using social media, conferences, and trainingBuild a network of industry and global thought leadersEnsure stakeholder needs are met following BA process flow for quality and consistencyManage stakeholder relationships through open communication about project statusSelf-Management Enhance personal and professional capabilities in line with JSE objectivesStay updated on legislation and standards through research and networksShare knowledge and research findings with the teamUphold JSE values and professional standardsTransformation and Innovation Research, develop, and implement improvements and innovative solutionsProcess Management Manage delivery on multiple/complex projects within timelinesConduct stakeholder analysis for new requestsDraft and execute system requirements plans following SDLCAssess project feasibility through cost/benefit analysisDevelop and present business casesCreate and validate business and functional requirements documentsReview technical specifications and test casesAssist with root cause analysis and quality assurance testingCreate user training manuals and support project coordinationIdentify process obstacles and opportunities for optimizationPartner with project managers to define roles and scopeContribute to BA practice development and team trainingReduce project time through elicitation and analysisMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or EngineeringBusiness Analyst Certification from a reputable institutionMinimum 8 years' experience as a Business AnalystKnowledge and Skills Proficiency with basic software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet, Email)Understanding of divisional service offerings and business principlesData analysis, decision-making, and international standardsStakeholder relationship building and resource evaluation skillsWhat's in it for you: The JSE values its PEOPLE, fostering professional growth, collaboration, and respect.
