Senior Bi Specialist

Key Responsibilities:Assist with developing technical BI standards and strategies.Mentor and guide Intermediate and Junior BI Developers and business users.Lead full BI project lifecycles, from issue analysis and solution design to development, testing, and implementation.Design and build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for stakeholders and executive leadership.Utilise the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SQL, and Power BI) and related tools (R, Python, and MS Power Tools).Drive innovation with Power Platform, machine learning, and generative AI technologies.Conduct data quality assessments and ensure BI best practices.Support end-users and technical teams, including training and documentation.Stay up to date with BI tools, industry trends, and emerging technologies.Work on multiple assignments concurrently under tight deadlines.Minimum Requirements:Matric / Grade 12 (NQF equivalent)Bachelor of Science in Mathematics / Statistics or a related fieldMS BI Certification & Data Analytics CertificationAdvanced SQL query writing skillsProven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents)Experience in data analysis, mining, and advanced ExcelStrong communication and problem-solving skillsProven ability to work independently in a dynamic environmentAdvantageous Experience:R and Python scriptingDAX script writingFinancial reporting experiencePower BI solution developmentBI cloud development (data lakes, and visualisations)SSIS or other ETL toolsC# intermediate experienceData warehousing conceptsHTML, CSS, and JavaScriptApply now!
