Key Roles and Responsibilities:Serve as the liaison between the business and vendors.Proactively supports the sourcing and vetting of vendors, negotiating contracts and presenting deals to decision makers.Support the review and processing of requisitions to ensure timely order submission and negotiating costs, delivery schedules and contract terms.Analyzing documented comparative costs submitted by suppliers in the RFP process.Follows procedures in monitoring and updating item, commodity and other tables as given in running purchase order (PO) software application.Agreeing pricing and performance standards through contracts with suppliers.Inspecting and testing samples of products and services of vendors and documenting features and benefits of each product, using this information to make the final purchasing decision.Documents the costs for all assigned vendors, as well as generating monthly cost reports to present to stakeholders.Provide suggestions for sourcing strategies to leadership and monitor, pursue and execute tactical and strategic initiatives as assigned.Administer trends and market conditions and maintain efficient flow of information for all materials.Prepare inputs on the design of various cost savings programs and identify new suppliers.Monitor order fulfilment against purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries.Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:Good at the cost-benefit analysis processSome negotiation skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with suppliers/vendorsKnowledge of the relevant quality standards related to products and servicesOrganizational skillsAbility to remain calm under stress and operate in a high-pressure environmentTeam playerGood communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reportingGood Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)Academic Qualifications and Certifications:An associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of studyRelevant certifications, e.g., CSCP, CPIMRequired Experience:Moderate level experience working in the field and related procurement / purchasing operational experienceExperience conducting cost-benefit analysisModerate level experience in using procurement modules for managing purchase orders, supplier information, and contract managementModerate level experience in evaluating the vendors that work with a company based on the vendors price, quality, and availabilitySkills SummaryContract Documentation, Cost Controls, Market Research, Regulatory Compliance, Supplier Analysis, Supplier Management, Total Cost of Ownership AnalysisWhat will make you a good fit for the role?Workplace type: On-site WorkingEqual Opportunity EmployerNTT is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer with a global culture that embraces diversity.
