The team manages product performance for savings and income closed products in the retail market.This role offers exposure to technical and business issues, requiring a technically sound individual who collaborates effectively across teams and stakeholders.
The incumbent will manage a suite of closed retail products, including reversionary bonus policies, universal life, unit trusts, and modern investment solutions, serving over half a million customers with significant assets under management.The evolving regulatory environment demands that the suite stays compliant and innovative.
The role requires adaptability, collaboration, and execution with stakeholders across the business, including senior management, marketing, IT, legal, and compliance.The successful candidate will support strategic projects, manage smaller projects and BAU tasks, and drive process and system innovations, especially in onboarding new closed product ranges.
A passion for fair customer outcomes, change management, and execution is essential.Role Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Actuarial student with at least 10 credits and 2+ years of actuarial experience.
(Senior Actuarial student, progressing well, nearly qualified, or with substantial experience)Product experience is advantageous.Self-starter with initiative, able to drive projects independently.Analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously.Note: The role may be offered at a lower level depending on exam progress and experience.Preference will be given to candidates aligned with Old Mutual South Africa's Employment Equity Plan.Additional responsibilities include statistical data analysis, annual statement preparation, tax calculations, and drafting coverage forms.
