We are now recruiting for a Senior Accounting Associate reporting into the Associate Manager - Accounting.

Overview of Role

This person will be responsible to produce monthly/annual financial and management reporting and coordinate the submission of budgets/forecasts to head office (Group Finance). With Aspen Global being the largest entity for Aspen Group financially, this role is strategic and has a direct impact on Group financial decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise junior staff in submission of month end numbers into the Group reporting tool (i.e. Cognos)
Responsible for accuracy of AGI’s financial reporting figures, through the systemic and creative application of analytical controls. Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting
Coordinate with Supply Chain and Finance to drive faster month end close and make the process more efficient
Communicate with Group Finance in respect of Cognos closing at each reporting period
Oversee overall inventory management, including implementation of inventory controls, ageing reviews, write-offs & provisions and reporting
Coordinating the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for Accounting team
Manage the process of providing the main cash drivers each month end and Budget/Forecast. Able to clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and comparison with set KPIs
Co-ordinating the day to day management of the internal and external audit for the work area
Support year end processes including the production of the AFS
Provide technical support and ensure compliance with IFRS
Train team members on new processes and share best practices
Continuous improvement in terms of productivity, speed and quality of processes.
What you will need to be considered

Degree or professional qualification related to Finance
ACCA fully qualified
Minimum five years of working experience in an Accounting function, preferrably in a global company
Prior working experience in financial reporting/audit practice with strong IFRS and Financial Statement preparation experience.
Excellent communication and fluent in English
Intermediate MS Office proficiency (including Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Experience in SAP/Cognos would be an advantage
