Minimum requirements for the role:
BComm. Accounting or CIMA Qualification or related is essential.
Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or related role is essential.
Previous SAP or related ERP system experience is essential.
Computer literacy with advanced Excel skills using pivot tables and VLOOKUPs is essential.
Previous experience having worked for an international company would be preferred.
Previous experience on U.S. GAAP is preferred but not essential.
Previous Smart View experience would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Performing monthly preparation and reconciliation of Sales files, including ensuring compliance to revenue recognition and returns policies and the calculation on the long-term portion on the Sales contracts.
Overseeing the preparation of profit center and cost enter reports on a monthly basis.
Performing monthly and quarterly analysis and providing commentary.
Analysing fixed assets on a monthly basis and ensuring additions, disposals, scraps and depreciation are correctly processed and accounted for.
Overseeing the monthly preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations.
Handling the preparation of VAT and EMP on a monthly basis as well as reconciling related Balance Sheet accounts of all tax types.
Submitting reconciliations according to statutory and U.S. GAAP practices.
Preparing and reconciling the monthly payroll as well as preparing the Standard Cost, including analysis of revaluation.
Calculating landed cost and overseeing the conversion of pricing against the exchange rate.
Performing monthly inventory reconciliations, including providing an analysis on slow-moving inventory.
Providing support for external auditing proceedings.
