Senior Accountant

Our client, a progressive and fast-paced chemical supply and distribution company, seeks to employ a Senior Accountant who has completed Articles and is seeking a career opportunity in the manufacturing or distribution sector.
Please note, this is not a management role but rather a position for a mid-career level accountant who has completed Articles and gained experience using SAGE, which is a non-negotiable criterion.
Only candidates residing in the Johannesburg region will be initially considered.
Position Details:
Key Requirements for Consideration:

You will have completed a BComm degree plus Articles, coupled with 5+ years of experience in the full accounting function within either the manufacturing, engineering, or distribution sector.
Expert proficiency in SAGE accounting software and advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
You will have expertise in aligning policies and procedures, conducting risk management audits, and investigating discrepancies.
You must have solid knowledge of GAAP and IFRS legislation/regulations, as well as knowledge of taxation for multiple entities.
A proven track record in preparing financial statements, forecasts, budget compilations, and overseeing cash flow.
Experience in payroll accounting is necessary.
You will have experience managing a small team.
You must possess a valid driver's license, own a vehicle, and have a clear criminal and credit record.
