SEND Teaching Assistant - Early Years - Mainstream Primary School with SEND provision

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for an outstanding primary school in Tower Hamlets, they are seeking an engaging graduate to support pupils as a Teaching Assistant. It is essential for this Primary Teaching Assistant post that you are a graduate and have a desire to support pupils with additional needs such as Autism and ADHD. The ideal person will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils they will be supporting. The school would like a dynamic and adaptable person, with experience of supporting pupils on the Autistic Spectrum or ADHD, this is desirable but not essential.

Job Responsibilities

- Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
- Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD & other needs
- Supervising children's behaviour
- Encourage and support the pupils learning & development
- Supporting the Class Teacher with lessons

Job Requirements

- Willing to work with different primary age groups
- Willing to support children with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Strong communication skills
- Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
- Available 5 days a week
- Able to commit to 3-6 months
