Empowering Learning are currently recruiting for a fantastic Secondary SEND School in Newham. The school are seeking an engaging individual to support pupils as a Learning Support Assistant, more specifically with Chemistry. It is essential for this LSA post that you are a have a desire to support pupils with additional needs, and with Chemistry. The ideal person will be able to lead the pupil's development, part of the role will be planning a varied and engaging learning plan for the pupils you will be supporting. The school would like a creative and responsible person, experience of supporting Secondary age pupils is disable but not essential.

Job Responsibilities

- Able to work with groups or support on a 1:1 basis
- Supporting pupils at Secondary age
- Supervising children's behaviour
- Encourage and support the pupils learning & development
- Supporting the Class Teacher with lessons

Job Requirements

- Willing to work with different Secondary age groups
- Willing to support children with learning difficulties
- Strong communication skills
- Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
- Available 5 days a week
- Able to commit to 3-6 months
