Security Administrator

Duties Investigate and remediate cloud security findings, misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and identity-related risks across cloud and container environments.
Engineer and maintain identity and access controls, including conditional access policies, privileged access management, and multi-factor authentication solutions.
Administer and optimise endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, threat hunting activities, compliance monitoring, and security policy management.
Manage web application firewall, Zero Trust access, DNS-layer protections, email security controls, and authentication standards including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Lead investigations of escalated security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate containment and recovery activities.
Drive vulnerability management processes, including scanning, prioritisation, remediation coordination, and penetration testing remediation.
Develop security automation using PowerShell, APIs, workflow automation platforms, and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
Support governance initiatives by implementing technical controls, producing audit evidence, and contributing to security maturity programmes.
Education Matric / Grade 12.
Relevant IT qualification or equivalent practical experience.
Job Experience & Skills Required 3–5 years' experience in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or Senior Security Administration.
Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management, Endpoint Security, and Cloud Security within a Microsoft cloud environment.
Hands‐on experience administering enterprise EDR solutions.
Experience working with Web Application Firewalls, CDN technologies, or Zero Trust platforms.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting with the ability to consume REST APIs.
Practical vulnerability management and remediation experience.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, VPNs, and network segmentation.
Experience with CSPM tools, SIEM platforms, Kubernetes/container security, and infrastructure-as-code will be advantageous.
Security certifications such as SC-200, AZ-500, SC-300, CompTIA Security+, or CySA+ are highly beneficial.
Knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO *****, and POPIA requirements will be advantageous.
