As a Sales Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the sales team, driving performance, and ensuring sales targets are met through effective people management.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage sales activities to ensure targets are met.Assist in preparing financial documents, reports, and budget information for the branch.Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives.Manage sales productivity and performance.Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees.Implement disciplinary processes and reward/recognition programs.Coach and mentor the sales team to drive continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including FICA, TCF, and FAIS.Collaborate with the branch teams to support activations and product presentations.Coordinate sales initiatives, source allocation, and site visits.Manage marketing strategies and product training programs.Compile and distribute sales reports.Liaise with external stakeholders and service providers to ensure smooth service delivery.Qualifications and ExperienceNational Senior Certificate (Matric)Regulatory Exam (RE 5)Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals (advantageous)FSCA-recognized qualification on NQF Level 42 years' experience in sales within the insurance/financial services industry2 years' experience in a supervisory roleValid Driver License (manual transmission)Knowledge and SkillsProficient in MS OfficeIn-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and the financial sector's regulatory landscapeStrong people management and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsNegotiation, selling, and presentation skillsTime management and coping under pressureConflict handling and problem-solving abilitiesTechnical product knowledge and customer-centric approach
