This is a great job opportunity to join a large, well-respected company that has been manufacturing machines locally since (year), and supplying them to mines across the country and beyond, expanding further into Africa.Our client prides itself on offering a full suite of underground mining equipment that meets the highest international standards.Due to increasing workloads and a growing project pipeline, this company is looking to hire a Sales Production Planner.The position is based in Gauteng.Job Responsibilities:Function as the focal point for creating a production schedule for workshops using the best combination of Visual Manufacturing MRP System and/or Excel.Track and manage daily new sub-assembly sales manufacturing workload, provide feedback to Internal Aftermarket Sales on in-house vs subcontracted manufacturing hours, and generate regular reports on manufacturing status.Provide an in-depth audit on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedule, and workforce size.Monitor quality, service, and delivery issues, and initiate corrective actions through company Non-Conformance Procedures.Maintain and supervise the master database in the MRP system (SMO / SMEO).Quantify the cost of planned production jobs and report findings to the Finance Cost Accountant, considering margins and quotes from Aftermarket Sales.Develop models to recommend resource requirements to the Production Manager to meet revenue, productivity, and result targets.Coordinate with Procurement on spares shortages, follow up on orders, and ensure adherence to the production schedule.Assist Workshop Foremen in managing costs related to sub-assemblies, electrical harnesses, panel kits, and local modifications.Ensure timely opening and closing of jobs (SMO / SMEO) and supervise related tasks.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum of 3 years planning or management experience in a manufacturing sales environment.Grade 12 and/or N3 equivalent.Diploma or Certificate in Project Management / Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing.Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management.Experience with BC MRP system.High computer literacy (Excel, Microsoft Projects, Office).Knowledge of mining industry and manufacturing processes.Fluent in English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).To apply, please email our recruitment consultant Xipene Mondlane at (contact details).
