This role will be responsible for managing existing and new key customers / key accounts, driving business-to-business relationships, and working on an effective sales lead to support our clients Renewable Distribution objectives.The position will be focused on selling Solar Renewable energy products to residential and small commercial resellers in Africa.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaignsDirecting and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionallyPreparing sales budgets and projections and approving expendituresTracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metricsHandling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or serviceSetting discount rates and determining price schedulesAdvising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partnersMaking data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocationDeveloping and maintaining relationships with key clientsSetting sales quotas and goalsOverseeing and directing performance of the sales teamIdentifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunitiesDefining and executing territory sales plansGains new business and makes necessary contacts by generating interest and translating the latent needs of the B2B customer into sustainable energy solutions to reach the defined sales objectivesExpands energy sales network by identifying, pitching, and building relationships with potential partners and/or customers in key African markets through cold-calling, networking, qualifying prospects, and closing sales.Deepens and expands relationships and business with existing partners/customersDevelops specific customer strategies and campaign plans, driving leadership in their executionIs accountable for implementing and executing the monthly, quarterly and annual sales strategyRequirementsBackground & Experience:Experience in the B2B renewable energy sector, preferably in Solar PV.Understanding of Inverter Technology is an advantageA degree in business administration / sales or affiliation to ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is a plus (electrical background)Strong commercial acumenLiteracy in financials
