Our tech platform connects 3000 tutors/mentors to students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities or their dream career pathway.This role is a sales role focused on the South African and other African regions Crimson work in, including the calling of leads to qualify them for the sales process for Crimson Education.
You will be working closely with the local Marketing and Sales teams on all sales related activities as well as to understand and grow relationships with priority schools and partners across South Africa and Africa and strengthen Crimson's position within the market.The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport easily, be customer-obsessed, and have a growth mindset.This is an entry-level, full-time position, based in Johannesburg, SA.
Normal working time is Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm although there may be a call to work outside of these hours for events, office activities, and busy periods as required.
In-office attendance is required to monitor office landline calls and any walk-ins coming to the office.Role Requirements:+ This is a full-time position, based in Johannesburg and isnot suitable for those wanting to relocate+ Start date: 15 May 2025 or closest+ Sales experience, strong educational background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and knowledge and understanding of the SA schools landscape are unwavering prerequisites of the role.The purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact for incoming leads and potential clients, ensuring a smooth customer experience across a variety of Crimson programmes:What are the main responsibilities for this role?- Receiving and making calls and responding to enquiries from leads to qualify them for sales processes, ensuring that data is diligently, accurately entered and managed within Crimson's Client Relations Management (CRM) system Salesforce- Updating the record of these leads and tracking their movements to the next stage of the sales pipeline in Salesforce- Developing nurture drips and different communication methods to reach leads- Planning and running local events to increase brand awareness for Crimson- Establish, develop and maintain positive and professional customer interactions and relationships for Crimson- Continuously improving sales techniques, process and enhancing industry knowledge- Engaging in outreach activities such as presenting at school talks, careers expos and Crimson seminars when required- Attending industry events as required- Collating sales reports in an accurate and concise manner for management- Responding to comments and enquiries on Crimson's social media platforms and SA/Africa emailWhat skills and experience are required?- Strong school education/background and university degree from a recognised SA institution, preferably one of the top 5 public universities- Experience in Sales, Education Sales, Customer Service, Customer Success- Understanding the school landscapeis preferred- Excellent English communication skills: spoken and written- Excellent organisational skills- Strong IT skills including the ability to learn new platforms quickly- Innovative, Self-driven, Go-Getter, Motivated, Creative, Energetic, Dynamic, Professional, Self-managed, Confident, Positive, with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile- Experience in Sales, Education, other e.g.
