With guests from around the globe, including North America, Germany, and France, Le Boat operates in 9 countries with France's Canal du Midi as the most famous and popular cruising ground.We are looking for a motivated and results-driven German-speaking Sales Agent to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leads, building strong client relationships, and closing sales to drive business growth.Working full-time, 40 hours per week, we offer a hybrid working pattern with 2 days a week working from our Century City office in Cape Town.
This role requires some weekend work (1 weekend day once every 5 weeks).What we'll offer:Competitive salary + Incentive Scheme (Base salary R315,000 – R335,000 plus up to €3,400 Euros annually can be earnt in commission)21 days annual leave plus birthday day off and SA public holidaysMedical Aid and Life InsurancePension FundTravel benefits and discountsWhat you'll do:Build strong client relationships by proactively reaching out via phone and email, turning inquiries into confirmed sales through genuine rapport and personalised communication.Deliver prompt, helpful responses to client inquiries and follow up swiftly to boost satisfaction and trust.
Reconnect with potential customers to discuss quotes and nudge bookings forward.Keep clients in the loop with timely updates on bookings, including any changes to brochures, inventory, or itineraries, before and after confirmation.Efficiently manage key administrative tasks, including processing payments over the phone or by bank transfer, sending reminders, and handling debtor follow-ups with professionalism.Maintain accurate data by regularly updating client records and booking information using Talkdesk and HubSpot.Support broader sales and marketing efforts by contributing to campaigns, projects, and team initiatives that drive growth and visibility.What you'll bring:Native-level German proficiency, ensuring seamless communication with German-speaking clients.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to connect effectively with clients and colleagues.Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering outstanding serviceProactive and adaptable professional with a driven approach, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to meeting timelines while embracing new challenges with ease.Team-oriented self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments, contributes to a positive team spirit, and works effectively with minimal direction.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)Strong familiarity with European geography to provide informed and personalised service would be a plus!Our dedication to equity, diversity & inclusionWe believe people perform best when they can be their true selves and diverse teams drive better results.
