Retailers Development Manager

Details of the offer

Become the face and vision of a leading global retailer. Established 4 decades ago, our client has set themselves apart from competitors by creating a brand that covers all aspects of an active lifestyle. For the last 10 years they have been specializing in expanding their brand into the global market and by doing so they have become the world's leading brand for affordable sports attire and equipment. With more than 1200 stores worldwide, they pride themselves in making sport accessible to all by delivering good value for money products. To ensure that they offer the best possible product at a competitive price, our client has designed, developed and tested more than 20 in-house brand names that cover all aspects of every sport or activity. Spread across more than 30 countries, their stores have become the go to central point for their areas. Offering anything under one roof, as well as sports fields in and around, these destination stores attract all walks of life. Roughly 3 years ago the brand entered our market. They're securing various sites in and around Johannesburg with a pipeline to open more than 100 stores in 10 years throughout South Africa. They require an ambitious, energetic and sports enthusiast Development Manager to join their team. Working directly with the Property Director, you will be responsible to roll out stores throughout the country. This will have you involved in developing an expansion vision for store openings around the company, as well as building a network of contacts within the sector. Dealing with Developers, Landlords and Contractors will help you in sourcing standalone spaces for a building spanning around 2500m² (with additional possible extension to 4000 m²). Once you have sourced a possible opportunity you will then be required to complete and present feasibility studies, as well as negotiate lease terms and get to work on opening your store. When you have received Board approval, you will be responsible for full project from obtaining permits, managing the professional team, preparation of plans and financial models and overseeing until project handover. This opportunity is for a young, dynamic and active individual who understands the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Combined with your lust for life, your degree in Economic, Engineering, Law or Property and a few years' experience, this role is for someone who's up for a challenge. If you are interested in applying for this role, please send a copy of your MS word CV today.
