Details of the offer

Main Purpose of the Role
Overseeing the daily performance of the following Financial operations – Creditors, Procurement, Daily Retail Cash Up and Banking
Preparation and maintenance of the following financial activities: Fixed Assets Register, Tax Asset Register, Cashbooks, VAT reconciliations
Overseeing the financial performance of the Boutiques (stores) in terms of financial reporting and monitoring (12 stores)
Key Responsibilities
Reconciling multiple cash books
Analytical review of general expenses
Reconciling statutory expenses – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL
Reconciling Fixed Assets – Registers with Tax and Book Values
Overseeing all local and foreign creditors reconciliations and payments
Month general ledger processing up to Trial Balance level
Debtors/Creditors control, account reconciliations
Preparation of monthly Boutique Commercial reports
Analytical review of GP’s
Weekly performance reporting
Analysis of weekly stocks counts and Weekly report
Preparation of monthly commission and overtime worksheets
Boutique overhead expense analysis
Boutique Rental spreadsheets
Manage compliance to policies and accounting standards
Produce and consolidate monthly reports to advise the Boutiques on the prior month’s performance, current performance and estimated future performance
Monitor effective implementation of new developments or enhancements
Identify possible cost savings opportunities
Flag potential risk trends for corrective action and audit reconciliations to minimise potential loss to the business
Requirements / Qualifications:
B.Comm Finance Degree
Experience in the Retail industry would be advantageous
3-5 years experience in a similar role
MS Excel Skills
Experience in Pastel
