Well-established Casual dining Restaurant in Stellenbosch seeks an Assistant General Manager. The candidate should be well spoken, well presented and passionate about hospitality. Needs to be a disciplined, hardworking, technically focused and task orientated person who can work at a high pace in a deliberate predictable manner with great attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for creating and implementing a continuous waiter training schedule, as well as identifying and implementing important restaurant and service procedures.
Assist in all areas where needed
Checking that all duties have been completed by floor staff.
Conduct staff performance evaluations
Daily Cash-up
Deal with customers, compliments and complaints, follow up etc.
Implement and follow the rules of the company
Maintain and sustain top service levels
Maintain dress code standards
Manage a staff complement
Opening and closing duties
Requirements:
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Post-matric qualification is advantageous (especially relating to the field of work).
The applicant should have at least 3 years of senior experience in the proposed field.
Good knowledge on duties and procedures in a restaurant environment.
Computer knowledge (word, outlook, excel)
Knowledge of Pilot software.
Experience in large restaurants is beneficial
