Reservationist - Luxury Lodges - Johannesburg

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Reservationist for a luxury lodge group with Head Office situated in Johannesburg. We are looking for a well presented, organized candidate to take on the role of Reservationist at this establishments which are based in the Lowveld.Requirements:" At least 1 year's experience in a 4 or 5 star Reservations Position (Essential)" Opera "Individual and Group/ Block Reservations" (Essential)" Experience with OTA ExtraNET platforms" Basic Computer skills (Windows literate)" Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications" Excellent Administration Skills" Excellent Telephonic Communication Skills" Able to work under pressure" Able to work shift work and Weekends on a rotational basisKey Areas of Responsibility:" To ensure that all reservations requested are entered into the system quickly and accurately and confirmed accordingly." To check all reservations/bookings downloaded from Central Reservation Office, confirm and send correspondence where necessary" Ensuring that reservation policies and procedures regarding payments, confirmations, terms, and conditions are effectively adhered to, and in line with a 5 Star Hotel" To assist the Sales & Marketing department in promoting and selling the Hotels and the facilities to prospective guests." Ensuring and adhering to effective communication from the reservations department to all operational departments." To ensure that room type overbooking is managed far in advance to avoid hotel overbooking." To ensure that deposit and contracts are received timeously, correctly, and to report any deviations to the Reservations Manager." General Office and Admin duties." Maintaining all guest/agent/company profiles in Opera." Handling guest Queries.Salary on offer for this role is R18,000.
