Main Responsibilities: Generating Sales from New And Existing Businesses – Research: Obtain knowledge on potential customers Market research and analysis done at each customer to identify risks and opportunities by using methods such as the internet, social media e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook and or other material such as industry specific magazines and books. Needs to understand who the decision maker is of implementing and buying PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) i.e. Safety Manager, SHEQ Manager, Occupational Hygienist, Buyer etc. Identify the size of potential business that could be generated out of each potential customer. Needs to understand the structure of the targeted customer i.e. number of staff using PPE, what PPE is being used on site, identifying competitors currently supplying the targeted customer. Identifying the needs of the customer Performing and compiling a PPE Assessment whereby the needs of the customer is identified as well as education on PPE is provided to the customer. Identifying and recommending suitable PPE for each application performed on site. Providing samples to trial and test (should it be required) for the customer to provide feedback. Training at customer level Provide training schedules according to the customers’ needs and time frames on various aspects of PPE to the end-user. Customer appointments/visitations Plan and schedule meetings with potential as well as existing customers daily and weekly. An average of 3 calls per day. Meetings need to take place between Mondays and Thursdays Achieving annual and monthly budgets agreed upon Targets set out need to be achieved. Should a monthly target not be achieved the remaining amount will be added to the new month in order to ensure that yearly budgets are achieved. Ensure that weekly reports are done by Sales Representatives/Sales Executives and that all relevant information is provided Weekly sales reports need to be completed and updated weekly (submitted latest before end of business Thursdays) before weekly sales meetings are held. This report needs to have all visitations documented with feedback from each client as well as quotations submitted for that week. This will provide valuable information on each customer and potential business in the pipeline. Schedule weekly sales meetings with Sales Team Weekly sales meetings need to be held every Friday with the whole sales team for your region. Updates on customer visitations per rep needs to be identified (each representative needs to have 6 visitations per day for the week). Relevant support required will be identified within this meeting as well as customer updates. This will also help in building staff morale. Update and submit monthly reports Complete and submit monthly reports to the National Sales Manager before the last day of each month. The report needs to have in-depth information on progress for the month in terms of competitor analysis, growth or decline of sales for the month and reasons behind it, performance/progress report on each Sales Representative/Sales Executive, updates on customers and where assistance is needed. Training/Up-skilling of Sales Representatives/Sales Executives Must provide training to all new representatives/executives to ensure that they understand company policies and procedures, product knowledge, customer interaction, company systems etc. Must also attend relevant training provided by suppliers as well as internal training to ensure that the skills and knowledge of the Regional Sales Manager is updated and refreshed. Generating quotations and following up on initial orders being placed and ensuring stock is delivered and invoiced Ensuring that initial orders that are placed are followed through and that required stock is purchased/ordered and that stock is delivered within the required time frame as promised to the customer as well as invoiced. Customer Service Ensuring that customer service is adhered to and followed through always . Must be able to crisis manage and deal with clients on all levels. Monthly Meetings Must attend all monthly meetings held with National Sales Manager, Sales Director and CEO. Monthly reports must be completed and submitted before monthly meetings are held. Customer Database Must keep an updated record of all existing customers as well as all communication between Select PPE and the customer. Matric is essential National Diploma / Degree in Sales Post graduate qualification is advantageous Minimum 4 years in similar position Proven successful sales track record HR Management Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Matric is essential National Diploma / Degree in Sales Post graduate qualification is advantageous Minimum 4 years in similar position Proven successful sales track record HR Management Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
