Description
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Maintenance Technician to report to our Maintenance Manager in the Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate specializes in HVAC, can operate as an all-rounder and can expertly install, repair and maintains refrigeration equipment with the least amount of down-time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Responsible for processing and completing all HVAC related work orders
• Installing new HVAC systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, performing equipment maintenance, advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
• Work on industrial or residential climate-control systems, such as HVAC units, ice machines, beverage equipment and refrigerated storage units.
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and cleaning necessary filters and ventilation areas
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
• Work on mechanical and electrical components of these systems
• Create a preventative HVAC maintenance plan for the whole property
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for HVAC related projects
• Liaise with project managers to ensure HVAC operations align with overall objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations and guidelines related to Maintenance
• 3-year experience as a HVAC Technician with broad-based knowledge of components and overall general maintenance on a supervisory level
• Diploma in relevant training or successfully completed apprenticeship as a HVAC Technician
