An opportunity has become available for a Reconciliations Officer to join our team. This position is based remotely but may require the incumbent to join team meetings in the offices based in Pretoria, from time to time.
The purpose of this role is to monitor, identify and rectify system errors to balance and ensure compliance.
This position is responsible for monitoring and identifying various system errors and rectifying them when possible. They are required to escalate the errors to relevant departments if unable to rectify.
Internal Liaison takes place with the Compliance team, Developers and Support team. External liaison is limited.
Duties and Responsibilities (Includes but is not limited to):
To balance BOPCUS reporting errors for all corridors utilising the BOPCUS/Cross Border Foreign Exchange Transaction Reporting System (CBFETRS)
To correct all FIC/FIU/FIA data errors for all corridors utilising GoAml
Gather additional information when required
To ensure all recurrent system errors are escalated
Track system errors over time to identify issues and notify the dev team
Maintain records of errors and escalations
To inform the relevant department of files failed by FIC for CTR and STR reporting
Forward pdf documents from FIC where submitted files were not fully accepted to the relevant department within required time
To correct Reserve Bank or Central Bank errors for all corridors
To monitor errors on orders to ensure they are resolved and compliant
Follow up on orders that were referred to support department for assistance to ensure compliance
To manage own professional and self-development

Key Requirements:
Grade 12/Equivalent (Essential)
2 years' experience in balancing reporting errors /compliance (Essential)
Experience with relevant reporting systems (Desirable)
Knowledge of BOPCUS and CBFETRS systems
Knowledge of FIC, FIU and FIA
Knowledge of CTR and STR reporting
Knowledge of reserve bank reporting

Organisational & administrative skills
Attention to detail
