An opportunity exists for a Receiving Supervisor who will be responsible for organising the safe and efficient Receipt, Quality Control, Storage and Preparation of all goods.
• Supervising General Assistants to ensure that all Receipting Processes & Procedures are followed
• Providing accurate accounting of quantities and items received to assure that receiving records reflect correctly - (e.g. counting, quality, advise account manager, moving into correct location in the warehouse, create and maintain warehouse holding areas
• Planning and co-ordinating the Receipt of goods
• Ensuring accurate and efficient Receipting of Goods to ensure optimum flow of stock to all Departments (e.g. Branding, Factory, Dispatch)
• Capturing all relevant Documentation on the ERP System
• Ensuring that all Quality Control Processes & Procedures are followed. This includes AQL 2.5, Full QC, Return to Supplier, Storage of Non-Conforming Products, Destruction of Non-Conforming Products
• Ensuring accurate and efficient Quality Control of Goods to ensure optimum flow of stock to all Departments (e.g. Branding, Factory, Dispatch)
• Ensuring compliance with all Warehousing Policies, Processes & Procedures and ensure all staff are trained in these and standards are consistently maintained
• Maintaining all relevant documentation related to the Warehouse
• Maintaining product identification, location, and bin code accuracy
• Ensuring accurate and efficient Preparation of Goods to ensure optimum flow of stock to Dispatch
• Compiling quotations for all Kit Packing, Rework and Preparation
• Ordering all Consumables for all Kit Packing, Rework and Preparation through Purchasing
• Planning of all Kit Packing, Rework and Preparation in terms of Timing and Resources
• Investigating stock shortages and discrepancies and ensure that they are resolved.
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate;
• 3 years’ experience in a similar role or environment;
• Receiving & Warehousing procedures and best practices;
• Understanding Quality Control & Preparation procedures and best practices;
• Knowledge of ERP systems in order to oversee the workflow movement of stock;
• Good project management skills;
• Basic financial acumen;
• Computer literacy – Excel (Intermediate), Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer;
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships;
• Good decision making and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure and ability to work overtime when operationally required;
• Must be proactive, forward thinking person with an enquiring mind;
• Ability to effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity;
• Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a team-oriented approach;
