Raw Materials Assistant

The companyâs Production Department is looking for aRaw Materials Assistantto work in the receiving area. The ideal candidate has experience in the FMCG industry. The job incumbent will report to the Production Supervisor.

Duties:
Adhering to food safety rules and regulations
Adhering to and implementing standard operating procedures
Performing quality checks on all raw materials
Issuing of raw materials and packing materials
Assisting in performing stock control duties: receiving, palletising, repalletising, delivering, counting, rotating, maintaining FIFO, maintaining stock records
Operating pallet jack and hand-held jack
Completing necessary paperwork: verification checklists, hygiene checklists, cleaning checklists, waste control checklist, stock take sheets, requisition forms
Performing cleaning and sanitation procedures according to standard operating procedures
Providing assistance in other departments, as and when required

Requirements:
Matric qualification
Food factory and food safety experience â at least 2 years
Production / Manufacturing knowledge and experience â at least 2 years
Health and Safety training and experience â at least 1 year
Must be willing to work shifts
