Applicants are required to meet the following criteria :Grade 12 with relevant construction-based qualificationTechnical knowledge of concrete and aggregates5+ years of working experience in a relevant technical fieldExcellent communication, problem-solving & team management skillsExcellent reporting and data analysis skillsMust have valid drivers license and own transport, and be willing to take leave during the builder's shutdown period in DecemberWorking hours : Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5pm, and Friday, 7am to 3pmMust be fluent in English and Afrikaans and resident in the Northern SuburbsThe successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to :Quality & Process ControlQuality & Process Control through concrete cube testing & grading of aggregatesStatistical analysis of results and adjustments made based on historyMonitoring moisture checks, slump checks, and water demandManaging mix designs on batching system, evaluating, and reporting backDesigning mixes as requested for specific jobsInvestigating, actioning, and closing out all non-conformancesDeveloping quality methods and procedures continuallyResponsible for the selection, monitoring & supplier management of raw materialsImplement and manage a cost-saving action planStakeholder ManagementCommunicating internally with two Aggregate Quarries to give feedback on tested material and qualityAssisting sales with customer quality queries, pricing, results, and mix designsManaging 5 plant mix designs, performance on strength, and making adjustmentsGeneralDrawing up reports for weekly and monthly meetings from the captured statsEnsuring all lab equipment is maintainedOverseeing the regular calibration of all scalesSalary : Market related with 13th cheque and Provident after probation period
