Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Quality Control InspectorLandis+Gyr (Pty) Ltd is part of a global organisation engaged in the design, production, and distribution of energy metering and management products.The Quality Control Inspectors play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that products leaving the facility meet the established CSDS specifications.Compliance with these specifications is verified through random sampling inspections as detailed in relevant documentation.Areas of Responsibility / TasksManufacturingConduct random sampling inspections of meter batches manufactured at the production facility.Ensure timely execution of inspections at all times.Perform patrol inspections on production lines to prevent known quality issues in batches under production.Conduct random sampling inspections of meters produced by subcontractors.Maintain a cooperative approach with the production facility.Ensure all tools and jigs required for inspections are in good working order.DocumentationEnsure all inspections on final products are documented using the latest revision of relevant documents.File all departmental documentation securely for easy retrieval.Record all inspected sample batches in the QC Inspection Log.Issue Batch Rejection Certificates for batches that fail inspections.Report non-conforming situations promptly to the Product Quality Manager.Record all patrol inspections on the QC Patrol Inspection Sheet.Identify and document new quality problems in the inspection documentation.Maintain a focused approach to quality details.Be willing to go the extra mile to achieve exceptional service beyond the listed tasks.Continuously seek to improve inspection processes as a self-motivated individual.Possess good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across departments.Work independently with minimal supervision.Have a good understanding of component and sub-assembly quality issues experienced previously.Possess reasonable knowledge of potential component quality problems.Apply an analytical approach to all inspections.Interpret technical documentation accurately.Maintain good administrative skills for document safekeeping.Be a team player within the Inspection department.
