Job DescriptionExtensive Projects experience in the Automotive IndustryEnsure adherence to project and timing plans in line with the Product development timing programs.Ensure that Process Engineering activities are performed to meet project and Quality Planning requirements.The effective management of staff structure, subordinates, motivation and training of staff.The preparation and control of Capital and Expense budgets.To manage project implementation and industrialisation of new products and technologies.Oversee the support of Process Engineering & Tooling to the manufacturing function.To ensure a high standard in the introduction of dies, fixtures, facilities and equipment in the manufacturing plant.To ensure that accurate process inputs and line optimisation activities are implemented.Ensure that Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental requirements are met at all stagesOf process planning and product industrialisation.Continuous improvement in all aspects of Process Engineering activities.Procure all new tooling, set up timing plans, establish tooling costs and quotations to Customers, manage all tooling projects up to the commissioning stage at Smiths Plastics.To oversee all functions of the Toolroom, including maintenance of toolsMinimum Qualification and ExperienceNational Diploma (T3 / S4 / N6) Mechanical EngineeringExperience and knowledge of FMEA, SPC, Quality Planning, Problem Solving,VDA 6.1, 6.3, 6.5, ISO 9001:2000, & TS 16949 / IATF.Five years management experience, five years experience in Process Engineering, Tool Procurement & Tool Maintenance Functions in the automotive manufacturingCompetencies RequiredAbility to converse with and develop a high level of co-operation and interaction with customers and peers.Leading competency: Directing and Managing, Facilitate teamwork, Manage conflict.Thinking competency: Judgement and Decision Making, Industry Awareness, Conceptual ThinkingSelf Managed, Stress Tolerance and resilience, Have integrity, Work independently.High level of communication Oral, Written and ProactiveHave impact and credibilityDeveloping relationshipsDevelop teamsPlan, organise and prioritiseDecisive quality, results and detail focusedPossess technical and professional knowledge / skills
