Use the categories below to search our Careers moduleREFINE BYExpired VacanciesProject Manager: Long term Socio-Economic Planning ( contract until 31 March 2026)THE KEYRESULT AREAS OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:·Facilitate and support the development of long-term socio-economicframeworks & plans in the Province.·Assess macro and sectoral socio-economic development plans in theProvince.·Assess the implications of social sector on the economy of the Province& that of the economy on the social sector of the Province.·Assess the lessons and insights arising from the intersection of thesocial and economic strategies and plans·Conduct research in support of the implementation of the Provinciallong-term plan·Conduct impact analysis of the socioeconomic plans and strategies inthe Province.·Mobilise society and stakeholders around the provincial socio-economicdevelopment vision·Produce advisory notes, policy and planning briefs.·Engage stakeholders on the implementation of the long-term plan.·Facilitate social compacts and partnerships among stakeholders.
Conductadvocacy and conscientization initiatives on the development agenda of theProvince.OTHERTASKS ARE AS FOLLOWS:·Develop reports and plans as per the instruction ofthe Programme Manager.MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS·Bachelor's degree (NQFLevel 7) in Public Management or Public Administration or Commerce orDevelopment Planning or Economics or equivalent qualification.·Experience in governance and development·At least 8 years of operational experience in socio economicdevelopment planning and analysis.·Experience in research and report writingOTHERREQUIREMENTS·Extensive knowledge of Government's M&EFramework as developed by the Presidency.·Knowledge of policy priorities and developmentchallenges in South Africa·Knowledge of Government's IntergovernmentalRelations Framework and systems.·Excellent people and team skills with provenability engage large and complex inter-disciplinary teams.·Ability to build relations and partnerships withrelevant institutions and stakeholders.·Excellent writing abilities (demonstrated abilityto write papers, short notes, briefings, PowerPoint presentations).·Ability to operate under pressure andindependently.·Proven ability to work well as part of a team.·Report writing and communication skills.EXTENT OFSTAKEHOLDER NETWORKInteract and network with stakeholders.WORKINGCONDITIONSWorking overtime whenever required.Willingness to travel.ECSECC has theintention to promote equity (race, gender and disability) through the fillingof this post with a candidate whose appointment will promote representativityof the organisation, in accordance with its Employment Equity plan.
