Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Project Engineering Manager to develop operational department year plansManage project setup during enquiry and award stages, appointing associated project teamsProvide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring effective management of allocated projectsSchedule and conduct Project Kick-off meetings to ensure alignment and clarityObtain client approval for scope of supply, delivery schedule, price, and commercial conditionsDocument customer acceptance criteria for each project deliverableDevelop and manage project schedules outlining sequence of activities and tasksMaintain project budgets based on contract and finalized scope of supplyEnsure compilation of required work packages for successful project executionDefine quality targets, standards, assurance, and control procedures, documenting in a Quality PlanEstablish and maintain clear communication plans between project team and clients, as well as interdepartmental disciplines and external specialistsDevelop and manage project risks and mitigation plans as approved by the Project Engineering ManagerCompile a HS&E Plan for projects, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures throughout project phasesManage project execution, monitoring and controlling expenditure to ensure delivery within approved project budgetCommunicate with suppliers regarding technical issues and expeditingManage approval of all project change requests, considering financial and schedule implicationsObtain client acceptance of each project deliverableResolve project issues and alert Project Engineering Manager if constraints may not be metEnsure compliance with configuration management systemManage project proposal, design and engineering process to completionOversee project procurement, fabrication, assembly, and delivery phasesManage installation and commissioning phases to ensure smooth takeover and handoverSkills & Experience:Experience within Mining, Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors preferred5-7 years of technical and project management experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilitiesExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to perform effectively under pressureStrong managerial leadership capabilitiesFlexibility to accommodate demanding schedules and travel requirementsProficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel, and MS ProjectPossession of own transportationQualification:Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic EngineeringCertification in Project ManagementRegistration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSAJoin the team and be part of an organization dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in engineering.Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.ContactCAELLI PENTZon
