IHC SA is currently seeking to secure the services of a Project Manager in our Cape Town office.
The Project Manager's primary responsibility is to manage the phases, activities, and tasks associated with projects allocated to them, within specified time, cost, and quality constraints, to deliver the required project outcome and achieve client satisfaction.
You will manage the project team and other resources assigned to the projects and report directly to the Project Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities include:
Assist the Project Engineering Manager in developing the operational department's yearly plan.
Set up projects during enquiry and award stages and appoint associated project teams.
Manage allocated projects, providing leadership and guidance to the project team.
Schedule and conduct project kick-off meetings.
Obtain client approval for scope of supply, delivery schedule, price, and commercial conditions.
Document customer acceptance criteria for each project deliverable.
Develop and manage a project schedule outlining activities and tasks.
Maintain the project budget based on the contract and finalized scope of supply.
Ensure work packages are prepared for successful project execution.
Define quality targets, standards, assurance, and control procedures; document in a Quality Plan.
Establish and maintain clear communication plans with clients, interdepartmental teams, and external specialists.
Develop and manage project risks and mitigation plans.
Compile a HS&E Plan and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Manage project execution, monitor, and control expenditure to stay within budget.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding technical issues and expediting.
Manage project change requests, considering financial and schedule implications.
Secure client acceptance of project deliverables.
Resolve issues impacting the project and escalate risks to the Project Engineering Manager.
Ensure compliance with configuration management systems.
Oversee project proposal, design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases.
Hard requirements:
B.
Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
10-12 years of relevant project management experience.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Project Management qualification.
Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
Experience in Mining, Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing, or Heavy Engineering sectors.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and pay high attention to detail.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, MS Project).
Own transportation.
