Job Title: Project Engineer/Project Manager Location: Site near Westonaria, 50km south-west of Johannesburg, South Africa Travel: Daily site travel required Accommodation: Not provided Job Type: Limited Duration Contract, Full-Time (12 Months) Required Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical Engineering Preferred Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) Experience: Minimum 5 years of mining industry experience At least 3 years of project management experience Key Responsibilities: Provide technical direction and business guidance to the engineering team and staff.
Lead and manage engineering and management of projects from incepeption to completion.
Develop, manage, and maintain project plans using MS Project.
Draft technical scopes of work as required.
Ensure that projects are completed within budgets and deadlines.
Maintain compliance with relevant legal regulations and engineering standards.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent organizational and project planning and management skills.
Ability to read, interpret, and explain design plans and specifications.
Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in MS Project and design/visualization software.
Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
