KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.Create a positive patient experience by fostering a conducive environment.Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.Foster a learning environment that enhances staff competence.Ensure all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.REQUIRED EDUCATIONEssential: Degree / Diploma in General Nursing.Desired: Midwifery; Postgraduate certificate/diploma in relevant specialty area.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEEssential minimum experience: None.Desired experience: At least 1 year post-graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEInfection prevention and control.Pharmacology.Scientific nursing principles and processes.Nursing processes and procedures.Developing/modifying a nursing care plan.Basic life support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS for specialised wards).All applicants will be considered, with preference given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees who meet the minimum requirements.
