Production Pharmacist

Under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist and Production Manager, coordinates and controls production activities.
Implements production plan/targets according to cGMP.
Supervises employees, engages in manufacturing processes, and ensures production commences as instructed in the Batch Manufacturing Record.Qualification & ExperiencePharm Degree or equivalentSouth African Pharmacy Council registrationProduction internship may be beneficialCUSTOMER SERVICEAssist with complaints and complaint investigations when required.A professional attitude is displayed when responding to a customer's needs.Methods for improving customer services are proposed, developed, and continuously updated.PRODUCTION DUTIESManage Quality on site by ensuring that SOPs are implemented and followed by production staff.Ensure continuous QA presence during manufacturing and optimal functioning of production lines, keeping down times to a minimum.Assist with Line-Opening, Line Clearing, and Line Closing operations.Check Batch Manufacturing Documents before the start of production processes for compliance to SYSPRO.Assist RP in updating the Batch Manufacturing Records.Review Production Batch Documents.Ensure BMR is complete with regards to content and yield calculations and label reconciliation.Release bulk intermediates on SYSPRO according to specifications before commencement of packing operations.Assist with production trials as required.QUALITYMaintain Quality Systems and ensure that quality systems are adhered to at all times.Assist with self-inspection audits and prepare for audits by third parties.Provide monthly feedback and reporting on self-inspections.Assist and oversee facility, process, and equipment validation where required.Maintain the facility in a clean and tidy state at all times, following approved and validated cleaning procedures.Ensure conformity to MCC regulations.Resolve quality problems.Assess quality-related product incidences.Assist in writing Non-conformance reports.Implement and assess the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventative Actions.Provide monthly feedback on the status of non-conformance and corrective actions.Assist in the execution of change control activities as required.Desired SkillsPharmaceutical production processesQuality Standards ISO9001:2000Pharmaceutical industry laws and regulationsLeadershipProduction Structure and FlowEmployer & Job BenefitsMedicalPension
