Production Manager

Job Description:The incumbent will be managing the daily production operations in a large organization and large sized plant ensuring high efficiency levels. Plans, organizes, and directs the manufacturing operation to ensure the most effective return on assets and obtainment of production schedules and overall business objectives.Minimum Requirements:Degree/Diploma with qualification in Production or Engineering8+ years Managerial experience in a highly pressured production environmentComputer literateResponsibilities:Ensure raw material and equipment availability, efficient (OEE) processing of the material into finished product and on-time delivery (Just in Sequence) to the customerEnsure that product quality standards are met and comply to all legal regulationsResponsible for all direct and indirect work sequences in own areaRegular liaison with the Customer regarding expectations and performanceEnsure that business operating systems and standards are adhered to as identified by the Quality DepartmentConsult daily with other departmental heads to ensure smooth work sequences in all shiftsManage personnel goals against respective KPI'sRecommend new procedures and processes to improve quality and quantity and reduce production costsConsult regularly with HR and join Union/Shop Steward MeetingsPlan development of respective employees to improve their performance and reach their personal goalsDevelop succession plans for key positions in departments of responsibilityEnsure Health and Safety regulations are adhered toCoordinate and lead activities in servicing, machinery, systems/equipment, facilitiesEnsure on time compilation and reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly performanceKey Skills and Expertise:Previous experience in JIT/ JIS facility will be an advantageStrong Technical background will be an advantagePlanning, organizing, controlling skillsCritical thinking and innovationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsDecision making/problem solving skills and ability to cope with stressful situationsConflict handling and dispute resolutions skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
