Oranjerivier Boerdery (Pty) Ltd, based in Prieska (Northern Cape), has the above position available for a dynamic, innovative individual with strong leadership and interpersonal skills, coupled with a natural practical aptitude.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure environment, is a good planner and executor, and has a continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities: Overall management of raisin (60 ha) and pecan nut (13 ha) production units.Personnel management.Management of production processes (irrigation, pest control, harvesting, quality management, new plantings).Crop estimates and planning around harvest.Planning and management of farm maintenance and upkeep.Management of budget and operational costs.Management of stock.Ensure compliance with health and safety and industry standards.Recordkeeping and compilation of weekly & monthly farm activities, production and quality reports.Project management.All other duties related to the position.Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Relevant tertiary qualification.Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position, preferably with vineyard/pecans.Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).Strong computer proficiency (MS Office).Valid driver's license.To apply, please send your updated CV to ****** before 09:00 on 18 November 2022.
