Product Manager

Our Brenntag team SA currently has an opening for a Product Manager in the Coatings and Construction business unit. This position will play an integral part in buildingand maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers within areaof responsibility. This role is also accountable for:Ensuring reliable and competitive supply of products for target marketsIdentifying newopportunities in the market in partnership with suppliers YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESMarket knowledge and strategydevelopmentSourcing and CostingExecute supplierapproval and vendor ratingNegotiate (budget)volumes, price, contractsImplement pricingstrategiesIncreasing exclusivesupplier businessReporting - internallyand to principlesIdentifying newsuppliers for potential strategic products Training of salesdepartment (technical expertise)Optimising stocks andmanaging slow movers/obsolete stocksSupport procurement department- forecasts to sales teamHandle major complaintsand claimsAdherence to CompanyStandard Operating Procedures & Policies YOUR PROFILEMatricTertiary qualificationin commercial field/sciences 5 – 7 years' experiencein a Product management/Commercial function that includes managing complex andor significant supplier/customer relationships and key accountsPaint, Coatings,Adhesives & Construction/Chemical industry experience preferred.SAP experienceadvantageousExperience with CRM andMS OfficeMust have a soundunderstanding of pricing structuresAbility to understandthe complete commercial pipelines and resolve issues in area of responsibility.Strong knowledge ofimport / export, regulatory and logistics managementAble to work effectivelycross-functionally and with other business units' functional areas to achievecompany-wide objectives.OUR OFFER Market related
