Product Development Lead

One of our clients, a prominent South African renewable energy independent power producer, is seeking a strategic leader for the role of Product Development Lead Cape Town.
About the Role: As a strategic leader, the Product Development Lead will spearhead the design, development, scoping, and implementation of the organization's innovative renewable energy supply products for commercial and industrial clients and strategic partners across South Africa.
This key individual will be instrumental in the organization's business development efforts and in driving the expansion of its product portfolio to effectively address the evolving needs of their customer base Requirements: · At least 7 years of experience in product development, ideally in the energy sector , with expertise in commercial analysis and viability.
· A strong track record of launching successful products in the market.
· Comprehensive knowledge of South Africas commercial and industrial energy market and regulatory environment.
· The ability to solve complex problems using first principles and a customer-centric approach.
· Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by a relevant Masters degree (MBA, M-Eng, or equivalent).
· Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
· A collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally and align product development with business goals.
· A passion for renewable energy and sustainability, motivated to address energy challenges in South Africa and the region.
