Our merchant partners include your favourite food delivery services, whether you’re ordering in or using a meal kit, travel services that can help you book your next getaway adventure and even your neighbour’s side-hustle e-commerce store.

Why we’re hiring for this role:
The Product Designer will design great user experiences for our growing product portfolio and expansion across the continent. This individual will be an integral part of the product team defining our design system, evolving the current designs into a system
Our preference is for the product designer to be based out ofCape Townand able to collaborate directly with the product team at our office as and when the team decides to meet.
How you’ll be making a difference:
If you're someone who is passionate about developing design and user experience strategies based on real customer experiences and turn those insights into beautifully designed prototypes and products, both interactions and visuals, then this is the right role for you.
Join the design team to design products across the entire portfolio. You set the vision for the user experience and work with the product team to iterate towards that vision.
You’ll be breaking ground on a design system that will be used across all of our product lines which are used everyday by merchants and end customers.
You'll bring empathy to your designs to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges that reach diverse audiences across Africa. (international audiences, multi-language localisation, accessibility, etc.)
Be autonomous. You'll take full ownership of your work and you take responsibility for every detail each step of the way.
Inspire what's possible by quickly producing multiple concepts, knowing when to apply attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches and interactive prototypes
Bring your work to life in prototypes, conveying concepts through wireframes, flows and mockups.
Who you are:
You have at least 5 years of experience designing for consumer-focused tech
Your toolkit includes Figma, Sketch, Illustrator and Invision Studio
You have cross-platform design experiences (Web, Android, iOS)
You're a solid communicator and can clearly articulate your design decisions
You have the ability to bring empathy into your designs and interactions
Plus: you are technically fluent — especially if you're able to leverage that expertise to build prototypes in code that convey your creative vision
Plus: you have experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, Flutter, Framer, Origami, etc.
