Procurement / Supply Chain Manager

R 35000 - R 55000 Monthly My client is based on the West Rand and is looking for a Procurement/Supply Chain Manager. Relevant degree is required with CDDP certification a bonus, SAP, Excel with 3 to 5 years working knowledge in a procurement/supply chain environment
Key requirements include:

Relevant degree (SC, Finance, Procurement)
Strong forecasting and planning experience is essential
Management of demand planning, supply and inbound logistics also essential
CDDP certification will be beneficial as will knowledge of DDMRP principals
SAP and Excel skills

Key responsibilities

Overall management for demand planning, procurement, supply and inbound logistics
Lead and co-ordinate the procurement strategy
Daily data collection, implementation, supplier improvement and process improvement with the company and its suppliers
Develop and manage all SLAs with suppliers and freight forwarding companies
Establish purchasing strategies and priorities
Work closely with suppliers to ensure OT deliveries
Analyse sales orders and demand to determine inventory requirements
Ensure accuracy of inventory planning systems
Analyse potential stock-outs and expedite orders when required
Maintain the DDMRP systems and tools

This role requires a strong team player with a positive attitude and focus on continuous improvement. Must be calm and level headed and able to work under pressure and within deadlines.
