Key Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments for potential contracts and agreements. Manage the procurement budget while fostering a culture of long-term cost savings. Oversee IT systems used for tracking shipments, inventory, and supply chain logistics. Compile and present procurement reports for internal stakeholders. Develop innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies. Identify, evaluate, and engage with reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors to maximize value. Review and monitor existing supplier contracts to ensure continued viability and compliance. Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. Approve purchase requisitions and coordinate the delivery of goods and services. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (NQF Level 7). 510 years of experience in a similar procurement role. Industry experience in Mining, Construction, Engineering, or Manufacturing is advantageous. Management experience (minimum 3 years). Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and ensure robust internal controls. Proven experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
