Our client, a leader in the packaging industry is seeking a Print Operator/Print Specialist to join their team based in Durban.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Garde 12Minimum 5 years  Extensive knowledge in the printing industry that will give the basics on printing set-up Flexo experience – very importantMAIN JOB FUNCTIONS  Help with problem solving and have technical expertise on:bag machines (that have printers on them) – Flat Bag and SO Bag machinesPrinting machines Assist in designing print set-up proceduresCandidate needs to come forward with practical information for us to formulate procedures and mannuals.Candidate needs to be able to identify and have knowledge on the following:  Set up and run printing machinesPlate mountingChanging of reelsColour matchingTension control (of the paper)Print/ink SequencesAnilox choices (depending on ink coverage, image, paper etc)General Problem solving revolving around printing, inks etcAssist in knowledge transferMust have experience on running wide webBe able to handle quick changeoversExperience in water-based printing on paper advantageous
