We have the below vacancy available in our Organisation:

Principal Specialist: Consolidations role based within Finance Business Unit

The role of the Principal Specialist: Consolidations is accountable for Group consolidation and management
of HFM system. With the output to: compile reports, ensure statutory compliance, implement business processes, maintain and develop policies and procedures, maintain relationships, manage control systems, manage projects, build ad hoc reports in Hyperion and prvide support.

Your responsibilities will

Producing the Vodacom Group’s consolidated financial
results in accordance with IFRS, major shareholders’ requirements and JSE
requirements for actual and all planning cycles Assisting subsidiaries during the month end process Governing and controlling accurate and timely
submission of results within shareholder guidelines Assisting Investor Relations with statutory reporting
for interim and full year results. Fully responsible for the month end and financial
year-end consolidations in accordance with the financial
calendar. Fully responsible
for the forecast, budget and 5 year review consolidations in accordance
with the financial calendar Responsible for
maintaining the Group’s statutory reporting pack. Responsible for
maintaining the Group’s audit pre-approval register. Review, present and
report financial information accurately and timeously. Review monthly
reconciliations. Provide support and
improve relationship with internal and external stakeholders. To positively contribute towards
improving and developing the implementation of financial policies,
procedures and systems of internal controls. Manage human resources performance
planning & development. Ad hoc projects within the

/ Professional / Personal Expertise

- Multicurrency, complex consolidations
- Consolidation of South African and foreign
- Working with systems
- HFM essential
- JSE listing requirements
- Accounting principles / statements.
- Advanced Excel
- Analysis of financial statements.
- Compiling policies and procedures.
- Computer applications.
- Financial systems.
- Good working knowledge of
MS Office


The ideal candidate for this role
will have:

- Matric – Essential

- Relevant 3 Year Qualification in Commerce/Finance is essential

- CA (SA) (Essential)

- A minimum of 8 years Financial experience

- A minimum of 5 years in consolidations
- Oversight/involvement in HFM (advantageous)
