Main Purpose of the Role The Head of PMO leads the PMO department and is responsible for:Coordinate and balance the demand from the business and the ability of IT to deliver against that expectation.Manage the business expectations while getting IT to deliver more with less.Key Responsibilities:Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.Ensure the PMO has a good understanding of the company standards, tools and ways of working.Define and implement the Project Governance Framework.Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.Ensure the implementation of sound project management standards and templates for the effective planning, monitoring and delivery of projects in line with the company PMO standards.Oversee the onboarding of programme and project staff, providing briefings on their roles and responsibilities, governance arrangements and ways of working.Ensure the implementation of consistent quality management practices and standards, and monitor project performance.Facilitate quality, stage gate and readiness reviews.Prepare status reports and presentation packs for the various governance forums / executive management.Support supplier liaison and integration.Perform supplier contracts monitoring.Ensure the effective identification and ongoing management of project and programme risks, issues and changes, ensuring that the impact is appropriately analysed and that it has a nominated owner and action.Regularly examine risk, issue and change registers across projects and programmes to identify common themes and discuss this with the executive management team to evaluate the net effect on the company.-Ensure that risks, issues and changes are appropriately escalated and dealt with at the right level.Set team objectives, one-to-one reviews and evaluation, and continual improvement of the PMOs services.-Manage the workload of the team and prioritisation of ad-hoc work requests versus core team deliverables.Demand & Requirements ManagementManage the facilitation of business needs and proper root cause analysisFacilitate prioritisation of Demand items and projects by securing business decisions across BUsManage BA teams ability to extract quality requirements and manage the whole process through to going liveProject Delivery ManagementManage team om Project managers to deliver
