Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Manage and lead the engineering and maintenance teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, technicians, and artisans. Oversee training and development of the engineering team to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency. Engineering Operations & Maintenance: Ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all plant equipment and machinery in compliance with the requirements of GCC Factories. Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance plans to ensure minimal equipment downtime. Coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues. Manage and optimize the plants utility services, including compressed air, steam, water, and electrical systems. Project Management: Lead engineering projects, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new installations. Collaborate with other departments (production, quality, safety) to optimize production processes and enhance operational efficiency. Prepare and manage engineering budgets, including capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx). Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and OEMs to ensure successful execution of projects and maintenance activities. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including safety, environmental, and health standards. Manage the safety programs and ensure that all engineering activities comply with safety regulations. Oversee safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance production performance, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency. Implement engineering best practices, industry standards, and lean manufacturing techniques to optimize plant efficiency. Drive cost-saving initiatives through innovative engineering solutions and process improvements. Reporting & Analysis: Analyze equipment performance data, provide insights, and report to management on key engineering KPIs, including equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs. Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance data. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering (or equivalent). GCC Factories (Government Certificate of Competency) is mandatory. Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an engineering role within the packaging or paper industry. At least 5 years of management experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience in electromechanical systems, including machinery automation, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in manufacturing. Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and engineering software.
