CIMA or CA (SA). Both CIMA and CA(SA) is a preferential
At least 3 years of related experience.
Minimum 3 year post article commercial experience, preferably with large listed JSE company background.
Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
Forward thinking and solution driven approaches
Excellent with financial models and designing models fit for purpose
Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinating the preparation of short and long term budgets
Analysis of subsidiary budgets to ensure compliance with covenants, funding requirements and performance targets set
Identifying indicators of impairments, plans not meeting return on invested capital
Liaising with sites and subsidiaries on planning and budgets
Assisting Finance executives to develop business KPI’s
Ensuring plans and budgets are loaded onto applicable systems
Driving forecasting activities
Preparing overall Group planning and budgeting reports
Assisting with the Group year end deadlines which includes preparation of annual financial statements and other reporting deliverables for the auditors
Expertise in Budgeting, planning and scenario planning
Strong analytical skills and orientation to detail,
Expertise in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Powerpoint
Governance and Compliance
Reporting and performance measurement
High level of confidentiality
Develop an effective implementation schedule and supervise production of all financial plans
Prepare financial plans and EXCO/Board presentation
Communicate the value proposition of financial planning
Maintain knowledge on all financial plans
Assist in preparing long term plans, evaluate and prepare publication for budget
Defines financial situation by completing quantitative analyses
Evaluates plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns
Recommends financial actions by assessing options in relation to organisation goals
Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, analysing, and explaining information
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Ensure adherence to all standards and organise yearly financial planning meetings
